Notes from CFN 2nd meeting (7 April 2010)

13 Apr

Here’s some quick notes from the 2nd meeting:

We covered quite a few topics again (to be discussed in more detail in future!), including:
objectification; personal experiences; poverty and women; the workplace; mental health; physical health; informing each other about good practice in the local area (health related, but maybe also others); motherhood and reproductive rights.

Other suggestions for activities that came up:
newsletter / zine; bookswap session; skill-sharing; catalogue of books to share (Andy); activism in relation to the sexist poetry/spoken word nights; craft sessions (Sally, Selena, Miranda, Candice); connections with the Bristol Feminist Network, Ely festivals, and Mardigras; history project; campaigns that might spring up with respect to particular topics of discussion.

We need people to lead on discussion topics for future sessions, and more bloggers – please get in touch!

Reminder: the ‘What about Women?’ event is TOMORROW! details here!
