Domestic Abuse of Disabled Women Research Project

21 Dec

Welsh Women’s Aid, Disability Wales and the University of Glamorgan are working together on a research project looking at the experiences of disabled women affected by domestic abuse in Wales. We aim to reach out to disabled women from across a range of different impairments, including learning difficulties, mental health, physical and sensory, chronic health conditions and/or neurological impairments. We require your support and assistance to enable us to reach these women, to make their voices heard.

We have had a great response so far from people keen to get involved – to update you, we have now completed our questionnaire, which is to be completed by disabled women (with support if necessary).

The expertise and networks of our member groups and stakeholders are invaluable in order to help us to distribute this questionnaire widely. If you would like to take part in the research, know somebody who would, or if you can help with distributing the questionnaire, please contact Hannah Austin (hannahaustin(AT)welshwomensaid(DOT)org(DOT)uk) .

We are working to a tight timescale and will need responses to the questionnaires by 16 February 2011. Many thanks.

Questionnaires are now available online  and will be available in an easy read format as soon as possible. on Friday · Report
